‘Egypt has decided to ban all political activities in support of presidential candidates on university campuses, a report says.

The Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities on Saturday banned any political activities of universities in support of presidential candidates on campuses, said Daily News Egypt, an English-language daily Egyptian newspaper .

The student union at Cairo University supported the decision, saying it “will not allow any political side to use the university [as a platform] or drag it [into political conflicts] like other universities,” adding that whoever violates this decision will be punished.’
