Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13.

Trump’s life was saved when he turned to view a chart and the bullet just grazed his right ear. Trump and others have said God protected him. Trump gave a 92-minute speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, July 18 to accept the nomination as the Republican candidate for US President.

Pastor Foresaw Trump Assassination Attempt? shows that Oklahoma pastor Brandon Biggs predicted the assassination attempt in March and said that Trump would be shot in the right ear. He foresaw Trump’s re-election, an economic crash worse than the Great Depression, and America’s recovery.

Hours after the attack, many X users posted the clip of Brandon Biggs’s prophecy video, originally shared on YouTube on 15 March 2024.

Biggs claimed the Lord told him about future events in the US. “God said, I am not done with America,” Biggs stated. “I saw an attempt on his (Donald Trump) life, this bullet flew by his ear and it came so close to his head that it busted his eardrum, and I saw he fell to his knees during this timeframe and started worshiping the Lord.”….. “I also saw Donald Trump become really on fire for Jesus. I also saw him winning the presidency,” he added…..

“I saw a great economic crash coming soon after, which will be the worst in the country’s history. The Lord told me that it would be a great dark time,” Biggs predicted…..Biggs said he saw Trump and others in the Oval Office crying out to the Lord, with the financial crisis lifting off the country and the Lord’s blessing returning to America.

One Alabama pastor says views of Trump’s right ear related to the Bible are a “gross scriptural misinterpretation.”

Former president Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024. And, while some of the internet was divided about their feelings regarding the shooting, others took to their faith to point out how they believe the Scripture in the Bible about blood on the right ear is directly related to what Trump survived.

Some believe that, based on the Bible, the injury means Trump was marked for a higher purpose. The heavy claim was disputed by many Christian pastors online. This followed an onslaught of social media posts agreeing that Trump’s right ear, which was hit when the shot missed his temple by inches, means he has a Biblical purpose. But first, it’s important to know what blood on the right ear means in the Bible.

What does “blood on the right ear” mean in the Bible?

There are multiple mentions of blood and ears in the Bible. But one that stands out is Exodus 29:20, which states, “Slaughter the ram, take some of its blood, and put it on the right earlobes of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Sprinkle the remaining blood on all sides of the altar.” Another one, Leviticus 14:14, says, “The priest is to take some of the blood from the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.”

And many believe blood in some of the Bible passages signifies purification and importance. Some people believe Trump’s bloodied right ear means he has a higher purpose. The meaning behind blood on the right ear in the Bible is, according to some who have studied religion, about purifying the one who bleeds. And on social media, some have likened this meaning to Trump, whose right ear remained bandaged following the assassination attempt. One user on Twitter wrote, “Leviticus 8:22-24 and 14:28 talks about blood on the right ear as a mark of dedication to God’s service [and] preparing the individual for service to God.”

Some Trump supporters have taken this idea and run with it, citing the Bible left and right. But, according to some southern pastors, biblical mentions of blood on the right ear have nothing to do with what happened to Trump. A Birmingham, Ala. pastor, Scott Guffin, shared a Facebook post commending another pastor for pointing out the “gross scriptural misinterpretation that has been making the rounds on Facebook.”

Biblical Parallels of Trump Assassination Attempt

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and pastor known for his best-selling novel The Harbinger in which he compares the September 11 attacks to the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel. Cahn is also the author of The Dragon’s Prophecy: Israel, the Dark Resurrection, and the End of Days which will be published on Amazon on September 3.

Cahn explains in the video below that when Trump’s right ear and right thumb were bloodied during the very public assassination attempt, it echoed a section in the Bible about how a priest was ordained in Biblical times! Even Trump’s loss of his shoes on stage fits the Biblical scripture! Trump said it was the grace of God that saved him.

In the Biblical story, the blood on the priest’s right ear signified his ear is open to hear the word of God, he is following God’s word and is a servant of God. The blood on the priest’s right thumb signified he was called to do the will and work of God. The priest’s shoes were removed so he could walk on holy ground. He was anointed with blood on his foot to signify he was to walk in the ways of God. The consecration of a  priest was part of his spiritual transformation. The blood represented a cleansing, becoming holy, becoming anointed. The role of the priest is to bring the nation to God.

Cahn points out that the assassination attempt happened on the last Sabbath before the Republican National Convention: July 15-18 where Trump accepted the party’s nomination for the presidency. The ordination of a priest took seven days. It was six days from the assassination attempt on July 13 until Trump’s nomination on July 18. Cahn points out that the leaders of some countries are referred to as “Prime Ministers” — showing the close association between national and religious leadership.

The assassination attempt happened in Butler, Pennsylvania. Cahn explains that the word “butler” in old French is “bouteiller” meaning “cupbearer”. The cupbearer protected the king from assassination by poisoning! Cahn points out that the name of the place where the rally was held indicates there was a hand that intervened to protect Trump.

Consecration: Consecration means to set something or someone apart for a specific purpose, making it holy and dedicated to God. In this case, the blood on the right ear signifies that the person is being set apart for a sacred task or role.

Priestly consecration: In Leviticus 8, the blood is applied to the right ear of Aaron and his sons, consecrating them as priests. This act sets them apart as mediators between God and the people.

Purification: In Leviticus 14, the blood is applied to the right ear of the person being cleansed, symbolizing their purification and restoration to the community.
