Ironic

Certain people are seemingly obsessed with ‘elite human capital’ and ‘IQ’. Their basic argument is basically laid out by Haniana:

Either smart people reject your views because those views are wrong, or because, even if your views are correct, individuals with higher IQs find them inherently unappealing.

You can just smell the cope coming off this. Before we continue though a brief diversion:

Perhaps you think I’m crude for pointing out that Haniana is ugly but as Ed Dutton has talked about there is a correlation between attractiveness and overall success and other traits (intelligence among them). Ugly people often produce a degree of revulsion when we see them, it isn’t the same as bland people or moderately unattractive people. Ugly people are just usually worse people – we can scale this up and down across racial groups as well. In fact as most intelligent people know, our snap judgements about people are formed over thousands of years of human evolution and development. Physiognomy is not pseudo-science – it is real instinct that has kept us safe and provides us with gut level reactions that are often correct.

Gavin De Becker in “The Gift of Fear” relays stories where women are instinctively scared of certain men but they fight to overcome their fear, to enter the elevator with that man and ultimately pay a horrific consequence. The argument of the elite human capital crowd is instructive here because often times they are making an argument to overcome these basic instincts, and that the people who do so are in fact better than their peers. This correlates to ideas about ‘openness’ as a trait value that tends towards experimental thinking – aka liberal ideas. Yet in the raw stakes – at the most real edge of this the woman who overcome their gut fear because they can rationalize their way out of it often can end up dead or raped.

This however leads to a bit of a paradox – Haniana says either conservative ideas are just “wrong” or he gives himself an out that they are “inherently unappealing”. Both rely on frameworks. What is and is not “inherently unappealing’“ can change over time but often times what is seen as “inherently unappealing” today was not the case in the past. This fluidity is of course able to be manipulated by an elite who wish to change things or serve their interests. For example pornographers have been able to convince many people of something that was inherently unappealing – anal sex – to be something that is now praised and cherished by the sickly masses. This was done through extensive pornographic propaganda and manipulation of taboos. This extends to other areas as well. Many of the elite human capital that he writes about are no doubt in favor of the trans cultism of the woke – but once upon a time invasive surgery was “inherently unappealing” – even outside of the trans cult plastic surgery and body augmentation itself has changed. Tattoos are a slightly more banal example of this – the upper class now imitate the lower class.

The main issue though with a focus on the notion of elite human capital and high IQ is just how mind numbingly stupid that class of people actually are. Mostly because they are themselves agreeable herd followers who value pathological kindness above anything else. It is why they so eagerly wore masks during covid and truly believed in them. It is why they struggle so hard to acknowledge that the vaccines might have caused serious health issues – even when actual evidence is so overwhelming. These people might have higher IQ than others but it clearly is no safeguard against being stupid. We see this kind of behavior all the time from ostensibly high IQ people. Driving Teslas without snow tires off the road in blizzard conditions (but car heavy and all wheel!1!) when they shouldn’t be on the road. Weird how these high IQ people behave identically to the true low IQ people at times like this.

It actually gets worse the higher up you go because of the reality of self-insulation. The kind of people considered elite human capital are some of the most cowardly and banal people out there. I’ve had to overhear their pathetic discussions of being victims of crime without being able to put together how the policies they support and encourage make them victims of crime. Those even higher up basically insulate themselves in totality from the result of their actions – one thing people posit about these high-iq people is their ability to think like others. That’s how they can end up in am empathy trap but this is just nonsense – they actively do not think like others due to an acceptance of ideological blinkers. Like horses driven before carts they are totally blind to anything not revealed to them. It is logical to understand that importing military age males in their millions into aging and highly technically advanced societies does not end well but the majority of this class are in bed with that very idea.

Elite Human Capital parenting in action

As I think many actually innately understand: high IQ is not really a predictor of much good or worth in reality. It can help people along a path but it is not a unique measurement worthy of such vaunted esteem. The irony of Taleb (smart guy cucked by covid) in the image above is that as best as I recall he himself has come to point out that IQ isn’t actually all that either. A society directed towards high IQ would end up as terminally sick and bizarre as ours which is directed towards higher GDP. Zero-sum pursuits often end up in bad territory and all of this feels like attempts at copium to escape the inherently social nature of humans. Most of us do seek approval and minimize conflict – that is why we are more than anything a co-operative people. We succeed best in this way. Obsessing about the ideological influence of intelligence on political beliefs frankly just misses part of the point here. The luxury of the modern world gives the high IQ crowd room to believe their retarded ideals that don’t track in reality. That is in fact the power of history. If anything the only argument I would advance is that in this late stage of comfort elite human capital wastes itself upon stupid and noxious problems.

Instinct and gut feelings are the natural foil to this high IQ crowd. Perhaps add in a dash of bodily mastery. Rejection of the Cartesian lie. The body and mind together produce something far greater. Beauty is biological, as is strength, as is guile, as is balance. Elites of the past strived towards a greatness that is incomprehensible to the cretins of today – one didn’t simply have to know Greek or Latin they also had to box or wrestle, run, fight. We could look to another model that produced excellence, true elite human capital: the German military machine. Staunchly conservative and educated it was the German’s who fought better in WW1, it was their returning troops of the FreiKorps that stopped the would be communist revolutions. Of course this is history confined to the dustbin of history and forgotten. What all people fear most of all is tied to it.
