How does one make sense of a guy who posts a video where he displays his father’s decapitated head in a plastic bag before officially declaring himself “the acting president of America under martial law”? Is it insane to even try to make sense of it?

On Tuesday, 32-year-old Pennsylvania native Justin Mohn sat in front of a webcam at his parents’ house and recorded himself railing against Joe Biden and the feds and antifa and Black Lives Matter for over 14 minutes. The real eye-catcher, and the reason it’s a national story now, is that he hoisted his father’s bloody head in front of the camera before uttering a word:

This is the head of Mike Mohn, a federal employee of over 20 years, and my father. He is now in hell for eternity as a traitor to his country. . . . America is rotting from the inside out as far-Left woke mobs rampage our once prosperous cities, turning them into lawless zones. . . .

My name is Justin Mohn. I’m the Commander of America’s National Network of Militias, which you may know of as Mohn’s Militia. . . . I now give the following order for all militia and patriots across the United States of America. All federal employees are to be killed on sight.

Joe Biden is no longer in power. I am now officially the acting president of America under martial law.

Our demands are as follows. . . . The ceasing of all woke and gender ideology propaganda in schools and other public places. Most importantly, the capturing and torturing of federal employees and their associates will not stop until the entire network of America’s traitors is identified and completely wiped out. . . .

I could have been the first unanimously elected president by both parties since George Washington, but I was instead betrayed by the FBI, federal courts, and my own family because there are people who believe I’m the Messiah. And this belief goes against the federal government’s satanic communist ideology. This belief that I’m the Messiah is also why you’ve never heard this story on the news, because it would spread that belief.

He then posted the video to YouTube with the title “Mohn’s Militia — Call To Arms For American Patriots.”

About an hour after the film was posted, Mohn’s mother Denice called 911 to frantically report that she’d found her husband’s body at their home. Around 10 PM on Tuesday evening, police found Justin Mohn about 100 miles away and booked him on charges of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. He’d apparently borrowed his headless father’s car to flee mom and dad’s house.

It didn’t take long for YouTube to scrub Mohn’s grisly video, nor for many other tech sites to erase his ample social-media presence. But the vestiges that were captured and preserved suggest a paranoid schizophrenic with a grossly inflated sense of self-importance and an appalling lack of gratitude for the parents who seemed to have propped him up financially for most of his life.

Justin, you see, was not only the Commander of America’s National Network of Militias — he was also a prolific author and musician. According to his former Amazon bio page:

Justin Mohn is an author of 7 books and musician of 3 albums and one single. His life story is unbelievable and there may not be enough words to describe him, but one may begin to understand his complexity and experiences through his art. He only wishes to bring positive change to the world.

His book titles include The Second Messiah: King of Earth, Poems I Wrote While Stoned: A Collection of Poems, and The Revolution Leader’s Survival Guide: How Schools, Workplaces, And Social Norms Kill The Genius Inside All of Us.

In a self-published 2020 online essay called America’s Coming Bloody Revolution, he wrote of how America’s accelerating decline would soon render it necessary for everyone born in 1991 and after to murder everyone born before 1991:

Certainly, everyone including this author knows many people born well before 1991 who were good teachers, who are good family members, good friends, and good role models, but if there is a violent revolution led by everyone born on or after 1991, then it will inevitably be against everyone born before 1991, and it will be difficult if not impossible to ensure the safety of beloved teachers, family members, and friends. . . . Because communism is like a virus that we must quarantine America from, the only logical way to do so is for every American born 1991 or later to kill anyone born before 1991.

Luckily for Justin Mohn, he just squeaked by and survived his own self-appointed cutoff date, having been born in November 1991.

Regarding his music — Mohn’s now-extinct YouTube page claimed:

Justin Mohn released his first album, “The Story Of Humanity,” in September of 2017. His second album, “Colofunkinrado,” was released September of 2018. His music style is a blend of rock, funk, and hip-hop, using piano and organ as primary instruments along with explicit lyrics, drums, synthesized bass, and other synthesized instruments.

I was able to find this track from Colofunkinrado. I tried listening to it but had to stop after about a half-minute, because the aural nightmare compelled me to chop off Mohn’s head.

A profile in Newsweek titled “Alleged Killer Rages at America’s Decline in Songs” sheds the following glimpses into the mind of Justin Mohn, aspiring songwriter:

Mohn rages about parental figures in “Mommumist the Communist,” accusing his dad of being jealous of him and saying he doesn’t want to “live at home forever.” . . . In “They Came for Justin Mohn,” from the 2021 album Cold War Waste Town, he complains about the state of his life, singing “he had no real dad and was often very sad.” He also laments “trusting the people closest” to him, and asks why “Jesus gave him life with no friends and no wife.” . . . “I Miss Lauren” features a photo of Mohn in bed. The tune appears to be a sort-of love song, with Mohn saying that he misses “Lauren,” but that she doesn’t miss him back.

A Reddit thread — which, like nearly every other footprint he left online, has since been memory-holed — claimed that Mohn sent a letter to a music company about four years ago whining about being snubbed:

You did not respond to my letter despite the fact that globalists, politicians, corporations, communists, and cults devoutly believe that I’m God, the Second Messiah, and the biggest person of influence since Jesus Christ. . . .

Mohn graduated from Penn State University in 2014 with a degree in Agribusiness Management. He apparently spent the next ten years writing books, making music, failing to thrive, filing lawsuits, and depending on his parents’ financial beneficence. He lodged a total of four lawsuits against the federal government “for allowing him to borrow money to attend college without advising him he may not find satisfactory work as an overeducated white man almost ten years later.” Each lawsuit failed, but they also revealed that his parents had helped the snot-nosed ingrate pay off his student loans.

In October 2016, Progressive Insurance hired him as a customer-service rep, only to fire him in August 2017 after he kicked open the company’s doors during a snit-fit. Mohn filed a lawsuit against Progressive in 2020, alleging wrongful termination and anti-male sexual discrimination. The filing revealed that Mohn’s parents, six years after he’d graduated from college, were still giving him $540 a month in financial aid.

And then, allegedly — it pains me to add that disclaimer, because he showed his dad’s decapitated head on a freaking video and his mom called police to say she’d found the rest of her husband’s body — he decided to murder his 68-year-old father for betraying his son.

The United States Army Corps of Engineers stated that it was “deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of our teammate Michael Mohn,” who had served with their geotechnical department and had, I suppose, literally been a federal worker of some sort.

As I write this, Twitter/X has been blocking all searches for “Justin Mohn” over the past several hours. Apparently the government and tech industry are huddling together and deciding how they want to package and utilize this story.

It’s impossible to make sense of this on such a tight deadline and with so much evidence already hidden, but maybe that’s the point. It all reeks hard of schizophrenia, and the main question is whether Justin Mohn was merely a freelance psycho or was receiving some professional coaching.

I think online political poisoning has made everyone a little more insane than they were only a few years ago. Compared to the rest of us, though, Justin Mohn clearly had — wait for it — a head start.
