Happy Valentine’s Day!

Whether you’re passing out flowers and chocolate, writing a card to your mom (call her!), or loving on your gal pals, celebrating St. Valentine’s Day can be inspiring. The most popular account of St. Valentine’s life is that he was martyred for secretly marrying Christians during their persecution under the Roman Emperor Claudius II. Pagans believe it is a Christianization of the Lupercalia fertility ritual, which celebrates Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as Rome’s founders, Romulus and Remus.

But however one chooses to understand it, the holiday is an important one on the Western calendar.  While marriage is still legal (so far), whites are nevertheless being openly persecuted in other ways today. A few recent examples:

• A 9-year-old girl was beaten by blacks on a school bus in Florida (full story here). The mother has been advised to enroll her kids elsewhere.


• Ethan Liming, a 17-year-old, was beaten to death by blacks for shooting them with a water gun.


• Cannon Hinnant, a 5-year-old boy, was shot and killed by his black neighbor while riding his bicycle.

Western civilization will only continue if the people who created it survive — and that’s no longer something to be taken for granted. So, go get married and have children!
